Tour Summary

Two teams from Melbourne participated in the MIC13 edition, they prepared by having training sessions and practice games prior to the tournament, both had tough groups and had mixed results, the U19 team advance through to the Semi-Finals of the consolation division, whilst the U16 boys were knocked out in the 2nd phase of the consolation round.  The U16 team were awarded the Fair Play Award at the tournament’s closing ceremony.

After the tournament, the teams spent 1 week in Barcelona where they played against local professional teams, trained with Espanyol academy  coaches at their training complex, visited the Nou Camp and watched a La Liga game Espanyol v Real Sociedad.
